Those Apple Geeks Are Always Thinking – New MacBook Air Accessory
Now this geek, she’s a PC. I have a Dell desktop, an Acer Laptop (a cool, slim TimeLine one) and I just purchased an HP laptop. They’re all running Windows 7 – and coming from Vista, it’s a breath of fresh air.
But I have a confession to make – I have iEnvy.
Every time I need to purchase a new machine – which is often because I love new toys – I dabble with the prospect of purchasing a Mac.
Obviously I never do, but it’s sort of like this obsession I have. I love going to the Apple store, I love stalking the Apple website and I even enjoy reading articles about Apple products.
It’s like the trill of the chase.
And one of my favorite websites, Unplggd, recently posted about a nifty little feature that the new MacBook Air comes with.
Since the MacBook Air does not have an optical drive, Apple now includes the OSX Snow Leopard operating system and iLife ’11 software on a tiny USB drive.
This is not only great for when you need to preform a reinstall, because it seems now some companies are not including any discs. But it’s also better for the environment than CD’s or DVD’s, because USB drives are made of recyclable materials and CD’s and DVD’s are not.
Are you paying attention Dell, HP, Sony, Toshiba, Acer and Lenovo??
