Honey, They Shrunk The Computer – The Xi3

Techies love things tiny – except our monitors – and the new Xi3 is one tiny computer.

But don’t let the size fool you.  The X13 has six USB 2.0 ports, DVI, two eSATA ports, audio in/out, DisplayPort, ethernet and special Xi3 Port.   All in a 4 inch cube.

Some more specs:

• AMD Athlon processor – comes with either 1GHz (single-core), 1.8GHz or 2.2GHz (both dual-core)
• Memory – either 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB (Future)
• Dimensions – (w) 4″ x (d) 3.656″ x (h) 3.656″

It also comes in a variety colors (see below) and you get to choose the hard drive size.  The standard version is installed with the Linux Suse operating system, but you can upgrade to Windows 7.

According to the website “It has the processing power of most full-size desktop PCs and Workstations but uses up to 95% less power to operate, has no moving parts, and can easily be adapted or modified for any application or industry.”  Also the components can be easily removed, modified or replaced , so the company wants you to think of it as the last computer you’ll ever need to buy.
