By now you should all know what cloud storage is. But for those who don’t – it is this is a sort of “island” of personal space within the Internet.
With a cloud storage account, you can synchronize user files; all you need will always be at hand and never lost. The folder is placed to a “cloud” on the Internet and you can access it from any computer or mobile device.
Now I simply cannot lose work files, I cannot forget the necessary documents at home. Even if I sit with a cup of coffee in front of a notebook and spill it, then I will simply grieve for the broken device and start to save money for a new one. All my party, school etc. photos and my favorite video “Me singing karaoke” won’t disappear and will be easy to recover.
In search of the ideal I have tried a lot of cloud storages. Many of them were good, but I always had to fork out money to increase storage space. Why would I need 100 GB? I need to save text documents, my music playlist, images and a couple of movies. But 1-2 GBs are also not enough for this purpose. So I kept looking and found the optimum service and then I found 4Sync cloud storage.
4Sync offers 15 GB of free online storage space. No more imposed Premiums. No one needs to be invited for you to add extra gigabytes. Very easy and what is even more important with a multi-language interface.
How 4Sync works
1. Go to the 4sync.com website. Choose your language and press on the blue button to “download now”.
2. Run the program and sign up.
3. Log onto your account, which looks like an ordinary folder on your desktop.
4. Right there you can drag-and-drop all those precious files that you need all the time or you are afraid to lose.
If you are the proud owner of Android, iPhone / iPad, Blackberry or Symbian, you can access files right from your mobile device. I actively use this app, finish writing posts started at home.
If you are a twitter fan, and you can’t wait to share your favorite music or video with the world, the Tweet it feature is just for you. Right click your mouse and immediately share new Lady Gaga’s video or whatever video to your Twitter account.
4Sync for the “on-duty photographer”
Another great 4Sync feature is a solution of mailing photo problems. I don’t know about you, but at all parties or homecomings or just holidays I’m the only ‘guy with a camera’. A week after the party everyone has started to bother me asking for photos. In this case I make a zip archive, upload it to the 4Sync folder, share it, and then send everyone a link. Time saved.
