The kids are back to school and summer is unofficially over, but that does not mean that travel has to stop. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, there are plenty of apps that will help you get you where you need to go, as well as help you when you get there.
The thing I love about technology is that – when it works! – it makes your life easier. When it doesn’t work…well, you just hope no one is around with a camera to capture your adult temper tantrum.
By now you should all know what cloud storage is. But for those who don’t – it is this is a sort of “island” of personal space within the Internet.
With a cloud storage account, you can synchronize user files; all you need will always be at hand and never lost. The folder is placed to a “cloud” on the Internet and you can access it from any computer or mobile device.
Now I simply cannot lose work files, I cannot forget the necessary documents at home. Even if I sit with a cup of coffee in front of a notebook and spill it, then I will simply grieve for the broken device and start to save money for a new one. All my party, school etc. photos and my favorite video “Me singing karaoke” won’t disappear and will be easy to recover. Read more
Summer is almost here and it’s time for everyone to start getting ready for their summer vacations. If you’re lucky, you’re going somewhere fun or exotic. If you’re unlucky – like yours truly – you’re heading up north to New York to see family. Note: if you’re a member of my lovely family, I was talking about other family, not you.
But have you ever gotten home from a vacation - and after you unpacked, did 17 loads of laundry and uploaded your photos – you can’t remember the name of that fantastic steak house you went to. Or while you’re enjoying your vacation, you forgot the address of said fantastic steak house?
These days it’s all about the cloud. Having access to your files from any computer, phone or tablet with an internet connection is extremely convenient and helpful for even the most disorganized person.
Now, like everything else in the tech world, there are oodles of options when it comes to storing your files in a cloud service. One in particular that seems to be very popular – it rhymes with cropfox – is great, but you only get 2GB for free. Move over cropfox, there’s a new kid in town. Read more
I love to-do lists just as much as I love apps. So even though I’ve been a dedicated Astrid users, I always like to play with other to-do list apps just to check them out. That my friends is what you would call an addict. Addicted to new apps and to-do lists – guilty.
The 2012 upgrade of iPhone – most likely to be called the iPhone 5 – is around the corner. As per rumors, Apple is to uncover the device at its Worldwide Developers Conference 2012 in June. As usual, the tech world has been creating buzz over the new iPhone for sometime.

I need to be honest with you. Organization doesn’t come naturally to me. That’s why I need tools and devices set up in order to function. Taking care of paperwork is no exception. Naturally, when it comes receipts, they’re almost impossible for me to keep track of without something to help. That’s why when I came across the Lemon Android app my eyes lit up. Read more
Many people are pleasantly surprised when they learn that the 3rd generation iPad (3) is actually an eco gadget. Yes, the unit is green in the sense that using it for note taking and typing will drastically cut down on ink and paper usage, but the iPad 3 is also eco friendly in makeup. It contains zero arsenic and mercury and it’s free of toxic BFR and PVC chemicals and its body is made from recycled aluminum and glass which makes greenies and techies the world over proud to own one.
While I love this site – and I am looking into a much overdue redesign – I have been cheating on it. I’ve been spending most of my time over at Interior Design HQ, a site that is combining interior design with technology. Why? Simple. Because they are paying me.
If you had to choose one thing you absolutely hate about your touchscreen phone or tablet, what would it be? Well, yes the battery life. Oh, and the cost to buy one. But the correct answer is the fingerprints.
Yes, that’s right. What can I say? It’s the neat part of the title. I recently discovered the Schatzii Smart Cloth and I have to admit, a cloth that cleans my screen and looks cool, makes me giddy. Read more
I have an iPad. I also have a 6-year old daughter. Which really means my 6-year old daughter has an iPad. Sure I monitor how much time she spends on it. But if you were to look at my iPad’s you will see that I have about 2 pages of apps. She has 6.
When I download an app for her, I can do my research and know it’s safe. But what happens when she searches the web? Remember McGruff the crime dog from the 80′s? Well apparently he’s still around and he’s keeping our kids safe when they’re on an iPad. Read more
